US stock futures pointed in different directions ahead of Thursday’s opening bell. Dow futures fell 141 points, or 0.3%, while S&P 500 futures edged up 0.2% and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.6%.
Rates remained in focus as the 10-year yield reached 5.338%, with long-end Treasury yields hitting fresh 24-year highs.
Accenture surged 17% after fiscal fourth-quarter results topped expectations. Revenue of $18.68B beat the company’s guidance and the $18.3B FactSet consensus, while earnings of $3.29 per share also came in ahead of expectations.
Alphabet rose ~2% after unveiling Gemini 4 Argon, its most advanced AI model yet. The company said it delivers stronger coding and cybersecurity performance than rival models at lower prices, alongside improvements on complex professional work.
Micron slipped slightly despite a strong fiscal fourth-quarter beat. The memory chipmaker earned an adjusted $33.42 per share on revenue of $54.23B, ahead of the $31.61 and $51.07B expected by analysts. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF gained 1%.
Monte Rosa Therapeutics surged 20%. It plans to unveil full Phase 1 GFORCE-1 trial data for MRT-8102, a molecular glue degrader designed to target NEK7.
Zealand Pharma sank 11.7% after partner Boehringer Ingelheim released Phase 3 SYNCHRONIZE-2 results for survodutide, a dual glucagon and GLP-1 receptor agonist.
Vicor jumped after the power component maker raised its third-quarter sequential revenue growth outlook to more than 30%, up from more than 20%. Jabil dropped 10% following quarterly results.
Deals drive the next wave
Constellation Energy climbed 3.9% after signing an agreement with Amazon to a 20-year deal supplying 690 megawatts of nuclear energy generated at Maryland’s Calvert Cliffs Clean Energy Center.
Synopsys gained 2.5% after signing a multiyear Amazon Web Services agreement valued at more than $1B. The company also guided to fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings of $19.04 to $19.12 per share.
Rocket Lab climbed 5.2% after signing a multiyear agreement with Synspective for 20 new Electron missions, its largest commercial Electron launch contract to date.
United Therapeutics jumped 12.6% after a Delaware federal court ruled that a rival inhaled therapy infringed two of its patent claims. Liquidia fell 5.2% following the ruling against its YUTREPIA therapy.
McCormick rose nearly 5% after third-quarter results topped expectations. Adjusted earnings of 86 cents per share beat the 76-cent FactSet consensus, while revenue of $2.02B topped expectations of $1.98B.
Nu Holdings added nearly 6% after denying it is pursuing a transaction with UK digital bank Monzo.
Cboe Global Markets gained 5.2% after extending its exclusive S&P 500 options licensing agreement.
Dollar Tree rose 1.3% after Loop Capital upgraded the stock to buy from hold, citing a favorable US macro backdrop heading into the holiday season.
Nike edged 0.4% lower ahead of quarterly earnings after the bell. Traders also await weekly jobless claims, ISM Manufacturing PMI and Ford and GM sales data, with September’s non-farm payrolls due Friday.
