Bridger Aerospace Is Dropping Tons of Water On LA’s Worst Fires in a Generation, Cementing Its Role as a Unique Market Bet

An unseasonably dry January on the West Coast has led to over 57K acres burned across 306 unique wildfires, creating one of California’s worst modern fire outbreaks. And while firefighters have been working nonstop to extinguish the flames, they had a little bit of help from the skies. No, not from rain — from firefighting aircraft.
Fighting from the sky: Bridger is the only major publicly traded firefighting contractor, making it a unique derivative to examine the market’s perception of fire risks. With wildfires on the rise globally, Bridger’s revenues have been growing at a high double-digit pace. In its Q3 2024 report, the company shared record quarterly revenue, net income, and EBITDA. And it’s off to a hot start in 2025, with the stock up more than 33%. While those might be temporary gains, Bridger’s critical role in California and new federal contracts stand to make it a permanent fixture in fighting and preventing fire disasters.
