have tried to put their own interest and twist on the evolving field with simpler, lower-price options. But recently, the push to put a display right in front of our eyes has been picking up pace.

  launched $299 Smart Glasses in partnership with Ray-BanESLOY
  — and last month, it previewed Project Orion, a prototype for its first true AR glasses.
• New entrants, like Even, recently released $599 Realities G1 smart glasses, which incorporate AI and heads-up apps to simplify everyday tasks.

Eying a new tech war: The world has become accustomed to their phones and smartwatches, but many tech companies are betting that smart glasses —  offering AR, VR, and AI features — could be the next major tech product. Bloomberg recently reported that China’s BaiduBIDU

will unveil a pair of AI-powered glasses this week, while other tech giants may soon follow, with reports indicating that AppleAAPL

is also exploring an entry into the smart glasses market. Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.
