Earnings drive the morning

Vertiv surged 15.1% before the bell. The data center power and cooling supplier earned an adjusted $2.21 per share last quarter against the $1.82 analysts polled by FactSet expected, lifted its full-year targets, and said organic orders more than doubled from a year earlier.

Enphase Energy sank 18.3% in premarket trading. The solar inverter maker missed on both lines and guided fourth-quarter revenue well under Wall Street forecasts, blaming soft residential solar demand and higher borrowing costs. SolarEdge Technologies slid 7.1% as the read-across hit the rest of the sector.

SK hynix climbed 7.4% after a record quarter built on artificial intelligence memory demand. Operating profit jumped 632% from a year ago, and the Korean chipmaker pledged its largest shareholder return yet, alongside a special dividend linked to its Kioxia stake.

NXP Semiconductors dropped 8.5% as a solid third quarter got overshadowed by a fourth-quarter revenue forecast that landed under expectations. Amphenol went the other way, rising 7.5% on a beat and an upbeat current-quarter view.

Robinhood fell 8% after transaction revenue came in light. Revenue grew 12% to $1.42B, but net income declined 14% to $476M and crypto revenue was cut by more than half as trading activity cooled.

Boston Scientific sank 12% after missing on earnings and trimming its full-year profit outlook. The device maker is still working through fallout from an August cyberattack that disrupted manufacturing and shipping.

Logitech sank 11.3% despite beating on adjusted earnings per share. Guidance for the current quarter's sales disappointed, and operating income fell short.

GE HealthCare rose 5.4% on a beat and a raised 2026 forecast, helped by volume growth and pricing. Etsy gained 6.6% after topping estimates, while PPG Industries added 6% on record adjusted quarterly earnings and a higher guidance midpoint.

F5 fell 6.6%. The networking and security firm beat for its fiscal fourth quarter but flagged thinner gross margins ahead. VF Corp slipped 5.5% even after an earnings beat, with investors cashing in on a pre-results run.

Deal news moves the rest

Ultralife soared 143.8%, the biggest gainer of the morning, after EnerSys agreed to buy the battery maker in an all-cash deal valued at about $320M.

Wendy's surged 15% after Trian offered to take the burger chain private in a cash deal worth $1.4B.

Ultra Clean Holdings climbed 12% on record quarterly results and a strong forecast for the current period, with revenue up nearly 49% from a year ago.

Microsoft and Alphabet both report after the closing bell, with AI spending plans the main attraction. Ford, T-Mobile, eBay, Chipotle, and ServiceNow also report today, and the Fed announces its rate decision at 2 p.m. ET.
