AI hardware names lead the tape
Super Micro Computer surged 12.7% in premarket trading after lifting its fiscal first-quarter revenue guidance to a range of $18.5B to $19.5B, far above its earlier $14.5B to $15.5B view. Margin guidance also landed ahead of Wall Street forecasts.
Dell Technologies climbed 5.5% and Hewlett Packard Enterprise rose 4.5%, both server rivals riding the read-across from Super Micro's update.
SpaceX rose 9.4% after third-quarter revenue grew 161% to $14.58B, well past the $12.72B analysts polled by LSEG had modeled. Elon Musk told investors that boards of both companies have set up committees to study a tie-up with his carmaker. Tesla added 1.7%.
Smaller space names followed. Rocket Lab gained 2.5% and Firefly Aerospace climbed 3.5% on the sympathy trade.
SCHMID Group surged 12.5% after a third-quarter update showed order intake picking up sharply. Management now targets more than €150M in full-year 2026 orders, up from a prior ceiling of €150M.
DigitalOcean advanced 3.7% after Piper Sandler moved the cloud provider to Overweight from Neutral, arguing the recent selloff created a better entry point.
Earnings reactions split the market
Capital One Financial rose 3.2% after adjusted earnings of $6.69 per share beat estimates by ~22%. A $225M reserve release and wider card lending margins did the heavy lifting.
Elevance Health gained 1.8% on adjusted earnings of $6.99 per share against a $4.70 consensus. The insurer raised its full-year earnings floor to at least $29.00.
Netflix fell 6% after guiding fourth-quarter profit below expectations and trimming its full-year advertising forecast. Third-quarter sales of $12.87B grew 12% year over year, matching forecasts. The stock has shed more than 26% so far in 2026.
Intuitive Surgical slid 7.9% even after beating on the top and bottom lines. A $450M pre-tax charge tied to a da Vinci legal settlement knocked reported net income down to $523M.
Alpha Teknova sank 30.7% after pricing an 8 million-share offering at a steep discount to its prior close, raising $40M in gross proceeds.
Danaher dropped 5.5% on revenue of $6.55B, a whisker under the $6.56B FactSet consensus, though adjusted earnings beat and full-year guidance went up.
AT&T fell 3.5% despite beating on earnings and revenue and raising its annual profit outlook. Reiterated capital spending plans came in slightly heavier than analysts wanted.
Philip Morris International slipped 3% as full-year 2026 guidance trailed expectations, overshadowing a quarterly beat.
United Airlines and CME Group each eased 1%. United missed on adjusted earnings and revenue, while the exchange operator slipped despite topping forecasts.
